DTU Civil Engineering offers building-specific knowledge in everything from individual courses, BEng and MSc programmes to qualifying master programmes. DTU Civil Engineering trains BEng graduates (3.5 years), MScs in Engineering (5 years) and offers superimposed courses for BEng graduates (2 years).
The Education Managers are responsible of the study programmes of the Department of Civil Engineering, DTU Byg. The Department is responsible for the study programmes, which belong under the Education Committee.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BEng)
An application-oriented programme that integrates work experience. DTU Civil Engineering contributes significantly to the BEng programme

In addition the department contributes to the BEng programme Byggeri og Infrastruktur (in Danish).
Master of Science in Engineering
This programme provides the student with professional skills and is flexible in terms of the range of courses offered. The programme is divided into two parts. The first part (Bachelor programme) takes 3 years while the second part (MSc programme) takes 2 years. Under the BEng programme, DTU Civil Engineering offers programmes in
BSc graduates can either do their MSc at DTU or at other universities. Consequently, a large proportion of DTU’s MSc students are foreigners that add to creating a highly international study environment.
For BEng graduates, DTU Civil Engineering also offers MSc programmes in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
In addition the department contributes to the MSC programmes Sustainable Energy, Petroleum Engineering and Earth and Space Physics and Engineering.
Professor Per Goltermann is Head of Education for DTU Civil Engineering and is responsible for interdisciplinary educational activities at the department.
