Fire Safety

The Technical University of Denmark offers an Open University in fire safety. The education provides the background for executing, supervising, and co-ordinating fire-technical tasks, comprising design, fire protection, the authorities grading, emergency work, and fire insurance.

The education qualifies the students for the above-mentioned tasks, in industry as well as in the public sector, by introducing them to the latest knowledge and legislation within fire safety engineering.

Depending on the students’ qualifications the education is spread over four part-time periods of six months (terms) and to a great extent it is effected through distant education on the internet. The students are only obliged to appear at DTU three weeks in all, spread over each term.
